Ski jumper Domen Prevc scores 115th victory for Slovenia
Sapporo, 18 February - Ski jumper Domen Prevc won a World Cup victory in Japan's Sapporo on Sunday, the 80th individual World Cup win for Slovenia and his sixth. At the same time, he brought the country the 115th victory in ski jumping.
Leading already after the first series, Prevc won with 273.6 points, 3.8 points ahead Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi, the second-placed in the overall World Cup standings.
Norwegian Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal finished third with 262.7 points.
Domen's brother Peter Prevc, who is retiring from professional sport after this season, was 8th and another Slovenian, Lovro Kos, 9th.
Male ski jumpers have secured 93 victories for Slovenia, including team and mixed events, and women a total of 20.
With 23 individual wins, Peter Prevc, one of the most accomplished Slovenian ski jumpers top date, leads the way.
Among women, Nika Prevc, another ski jumper from the Prevc family, tops the list with six individual World Cup victories, followed by Nika Križnar with five.
