OBERSTDORF, Germany - Slovenian ski jumper Peter Prevc finished second for the second day in a row at the Ski Flying World Cup event in Germany's Oberstdorf. KOPER - Slovenia's basketball team won its home match against Israel with 86:75 for its second win in the qualifiers for the EuroBasket 2025. Team captain Klemen Prepelič was Slovenia's best shooter with 21 points, followed by Mike Tobey with 20. Slovenia is likely to vie for the first spot in the qualifying group and is almost guaranteed to advance to the EuroBasket.

Paradise wins Days of Comedy

CELJE - The 32nd Days of Comedy wrapped up on Sunday with an awards ceremony where a SLG Celje production of Matteo Spiazzi's Paradise was named the best production by both the jury and the audience. The best actor award went to Branko Šturbej and the best actress award to Polona Juh. Nina Ramšak Marković won the award for best director.

LJUBLJANA - Ana Petrič, director of the Notranje Gorice nursing home, has been named the Slovenian Woman of the Year 2023 by the women's magazine Jana and its readers. Missing Polish citizen found dead in Karavanke mountains

KRANJSKA GORA - A man was found dead next to a stream in the area of Mount Kepa in the Karavanke mountains on Saturday evening. He is believed to be a 28-year-old Polish citizen who has been missing for some time, the police said. His body has already been transported to the valley.
