Railways
"Record railway upgrade investments": Slovenia's Infrastructure Ministry has admitted that the plans for the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) are too ambitious for the country due to its geography and protracted zoning procedures. The country intends to appeal for an exemption from the standards, but experts warn that Slovenia would lag behind even more than it already does. (front page, 8)

Katič appointment

Unseasonably warm weather
