Fast compulsory purchases of land in flood-prone areas remain an option

Ljubljana, 11 April - The parliamentary Finance Committee voted on Thursday against an opposition-sponsored bill that would abolish the option of fast-tracked compulsory purchases of land in areas affected by 2023 floods. The SDS argue this option poses a threat to farming lands while coalition MPs believe there are enough safeguards in the existing legislation.
