First kW h produced at pilot geothermal plant, but modifications needed

Lendava, 16 April - The first kilowatts of electricity have been produced at Slovenia's pilot geothermal power station on an abandoned gas well in Čentiba near Lendava the far north-east, but tests have shown that modifications will be needed for viable long-term energy generation, the investor, Dravske Elektrarne Maribor (DEM), said on Tuesday.
