Slovenian Army Day to be celebrated in Maribor

Ljubljana, 7 May - On the eve of Slovenian Army Day, the army will open its doors to the public next Tuesday in Maribor. This is because 2024 is the year of General Rudolf Maister, who is credited with Maribor staying in Slovenia after WWI, and because most of the soldiers come from north-east Slovenia, Defence Minister Marjan Šarec said on Tuesday.
