Miljenko Jergović, empathetic chronicler of horrible past, wins Vilenica Prize

Ljubljana, 4 June - Miljenko Jergović, a Bosnian-born Croatian author, is the winner of the 2024 Vilenica Prize for Central European literature, given out for outstanding achievements in literature and essay writing. He will receive it at the end of the 39th Vilenica International Literary Festival, held in Slovenia every September since 1986.
