Laško beer comes out on top in skit on best beers from Euro 2024 participants

Manchester/Laško, 17 June - In a Friday video that spread on social media, two content creators on the British news and entertainment portal LADbible declared the Slovenian Laško Zlatorog beer the best among selected brands from the 24 participating countries of Euro 2024 in Germany. In the "final" of the selection, Laško defeated the Ukrainian beer Lvivske.

In the video, the two Britons taste all the 24 selected beers via an elimination system reflecting the one used at the football tournament.

Laško, as "one of biggest underdogs of the tournament" takes the better of Lvivske in the final, with the presenters lamenting the fact that it cannot be bought in the UK and that they had really great difficulties even obtaining it for the purpose of filming the segment.

The Pivovarna Laško Union brewery, owned by Heineken, responded to the video on their social media with a post inviting all those who can't buy Laško in their country to visit Slovenia.

"The video has given us truly top-notch promotion around the world, even though it's not a paid post," wrote the brand manager of Slovenia's largest brewing company in a press release. She expressed joy that foreign media, and in particular British beer lovers, confirmed Laško's quality.
