Egg-sized hail hits Slovenska Bistrica in east
Slovenska Bistrica, 14 July - As a heatwave with temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius persists in the country, heavy thunderstorms hit the north-eastern region of Štajerska on Saturday afternoon. Slovenska Bistrica was hit the most as hail the size of an egg hit the municipality after the Environment Agency issued the second highest alert for central Slovenia and Štajerska.
