Pogačar 3 minutes ahead of Vingegaard

Pau, 14 July - Slovenia's star rider Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) won his second consecutive stage at the Tour de France on Sunday, defeating archrival Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) to increase his overall lead against the Tour defending champion to 3:09 minutes.

During the 197.7 km stage in the Pyrenees from Loudenvielle to the top of Plateau de Beille, Pogačar mounted an attack 5.3 km before the finish line to win stage 15.

Two consecutive wins and a big overall lead bode well for Pogačar 's third Tour de France victory after he won the race in 2020 and 2021, while Vingegaard won it in 2022 and 2023.
