Survey shows Slovenians frustrated by level of media freedom, political accountability

Brussels, 24 July - More than 70% of Europeans and 79% of Slovenians believe that the EU plays an important role in maintaining the rule of law in their country, according to a Eurobarometer survey published on Wednesday. Slovenian respondents stand out in several aspects, including in the view that journalists cannot criticise authorities without risking pressure.
