Pesticide not registered in Slovenia found in Slovenian-labelled apples
Ljubljana, 26 July - Food safety inspectors have recently found traces of a pesticide that is not registered in Slovenia, but is allowed in the EU, in a sample of apples sold in Slovenian shops. The apples were labelled as Selected Quality Slovenia, meaning that they are of high quality and grown in Slovenia, but they have most likely come from Poland.
