Punk rockers starting holiday on Soča River
Tolmin, 5 August - Another major music gathering, the Punk Rock Holiday festival, will get under next to the Soča River in Tolmin today. The highlights of the event, taking place in the scenic environment until Friday, include the US punk rockers Rise Against, Descendents and the Alcaline Trio.

The popularity of Punk Rock Holiday festival, incepted in 2011, has been rising steadily, and the event, capped at 5,000 visitors due to a new municipal ordinance, has already been sold out for this year.
A total of 60 bands from around the world, including from South Africa, will be featured on two stages, one of them located on the beach. The main stage will mostly feature US acts.
According to organiser Andrej Sevšek, 98% of the visitors of the event, which also provides for camping, are foreign guests.
