Dnevnik says long prison sentences for people smugglers ineffective

Ljubljana, 14 August - The newspaper Dnevnik says that people smugglers, whose numbers are increasing steadily, had missed the message the former government had wanted to send when longer prison sentences were passed in 2020. Instead, the legislative changes have contributed to acutely overcrowded prisons.
