Police unions call for efforts to increase officer safety

Ljubljana, 16 August - Pointing to the worsening security situation in some areas of the country, a police trade union has called on authorities to increase officer safety and was soon joined by the other union representing men and women in blue. This comes after an incident where a group of Roma individuals assaulted officers in the Kočevje area in southern Slovenia.
