Fire in S Slovenia contained, rain forecast brings hope

Kočevje, 18 August - Firefighters in southern Slovenia continue to battle a wildfire near Kočevje stretching across some 25 hectares of mostly inaccessible terrain. The flames were contained Saturday afternoon and the situation improved slightly overnight, with the firefighters now eagerly anticipating heavy rainfall forecast for the afternoon.
