Government Appoints EU Membership Negotiating Team

The government appointed a 10-member negotiating group to negotiate Slovenia's membership in the European Union at its session on Thursday. It dismissed three state secretaries in the Ministry of Defence and confirmed the initiative to conclude the agreement between the government of Slovenia, Italy and Hungary establishing a three-nation military unit. The government continued the session after a break in late afternoon discussing the secret Israeli-Slovene security agreement, government spokesman Marta Kos told a news conference on Thursday.
