WWII bomb in Nova Gorica successfully deactivated

NOVA GORICA - The 226-kilogramme WWII bomb found at the Nova Gorica train station on Thursday was successfully deactivated on Sunday morning. All nearby residents were evacuated by 9am. The deactivation started at 10:30am and the siren signalling the end of danger went off at 10:46. The authorities said the bomb deactivation process was quick and praised good cross-border cooperation.
