Severe accident befalls Slovenian cycling prospect

La Spezia, 5 September - A grave accident during Wednesday's opening stage of the Giro della Lunigiana youth cycling race in Italy has left up-and-rising Slovenian rider Jakob Omrzel severely injured. The life of the two-time consecutive junior national champion, who won this year's Paris-Roubaix junior race, was in jeopardy for a time, RTV Slovenija reported.
