Education minister resignation surprises coalition, headteachers

Ljubljana, 17 September - Most parliamentary parties and headteacher associations were surprised by Education Minister Darjo Felda tendering his resignation on Tuesday, while the teachers' trade union and New Slovenia (NSi) said the move was expected. Vinko Logaj who has been nominated to replace him is mostly seen as a competent, experienced candidate.
