Most Budget Funds from Taxes

Ljubljana, 8 April - National Assembly members on Wednesday adopted the general part of the 1998 national budget and related government amendments setting total budget revenues at SIT 840.9 billion (US$ 4.8b) and expenses at SIT 870 billion (US$ 5.0b). The budget deficit is to amount to SIT 29.1 billion (US$ 168.2m), down 0.4 billion from the originally proposed figure and amounting to 0.9 percent GDP.
