Večer: Far-right thriving in eastern Germany due to economic distress

Ljubljana, 24 September - Elections in the German state of Brandenburg have been narrowly won by the Social Democrats (SPD) ahead of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD), but Večer says on Tuesday this is a Pyrrhic victory that brings no comfort to the established parties after the recent elections in another two east German states, Saxony and Thuringia.
