National Assembly Passes 1998 Budget

Ljubljana, 9 April - The National Assembly on Thursday passed in a 44-2 vote the 1998 national budget amounting to SIT 870 billion (US$ 5.0b). Budget revenues are to amount to SIT 841.2 billion (US$ 4.8b), while the budget deficit to SIT 29.3 billion (US$ 168.2m) or 0.9 percent of GDP.
