President Kučan Receives Senator Volčič

Italian Senate Member Mitja Volčič met Friday with President Milan Kučan to update him with intense preparations in the Italian Parliament for the passage of minority legislation, in particular the Slovene Minority Global Protection Bill. The officials agreed that favourable social climate that is also fostered by good relations between Slovenia and Italy was the right starting point for establishing coexistence, tolerance and mutual respect between majority and minority, the president's office reported.
