Slovenia condemns Israel's attacks on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon
LJUBLJANA - Joining the international community in condemning Israel's attacks that hit the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and wounded four members of the force, the Foreign Ministry said that these incidents were a serious violation of international humanitarian law and reiterated its call for an immediate ceasefire. Slovenia also joined the other non-permanent members of the UN Security Council in a statement expressing concern about the attacks.
Fitch and Moody's affirm their Slovenia ratings
LJUBLJANA - Rating agencies Fitch and Moody's affirmed Slovenia's long-term foreign-currency issuer default ratings on Friday. Fitch affirmed Slovenia at 'A' with a stable outlook, while Moody's affirmed it at 'A3', upgrading the outlook from stable to positive, the Finance Ministry said in a press release today. The Moody's upgrade to a positive outlook indicates a possible increase in the country's rating in the next 18 months.
Pogačar crowns stellar season with record-equalling Lombardia win

He has racked up as many as 25 wins this season, including the triple crown, and was instrumental in Slovenia becoming the first country to have won all the three Grand Tours and the World Championships in one season.
Slovenia U-21 football team qualifies for Euro
VIENNA, Austria - The Slovenia national under-21 football team made it to the 2025 Euro after drawing 1:1 with Austria on Friday evening. They have already secured their place at the major competition as being at least one of the three best second-placed teams in all the qualifying groups. Nejc Gradišar was the one who scored the equaliser in the away game against Austria at the stadium in Wiener Neustadt.
