MEP Šarec appointed as rapporteur for Montenegro

Strasbourg, 24 October - Slovenian MEP Marjan Šarec (Renew/Freedom) has become the European Parliament's rapporteur for Montenegro, a post reserved for the liberal Renew Europe political group. Šarec pointed out on the occasion that Montenegro's EU accession is of strategic importance, contributing to political, economic and security benefits for both sides.
