Veteran politician Lojze Peterle leaves New Slovenia party
Ljubljana, 5 November - Lojze Peterle, Slovenia's first prime minister and a long-time member of New Slovenia (NSi), has left the party. He informed them of this on Monday, said NSi leader Matej Tonin, who has been the target of Peterle's criticism in recent weeks. The junior opposition party regrets Peterle's decision, which he says is the result of deep disagreements.
