President's nominee for central bank governor rejected
Ljubljana, 22 November - The National Assembly has rejected President Nataša Pirc Musar's nominee for central bank governor, Anton Rop, a former finance minister and prime minister. Only 24 MPs endorsed him in Friday's secret ballot, well short of the 46-vote majority needed. Both Pirc Musar and Rop regretted the outcome of the vote.
