Civil Defence Units End Work

Ljubljana, 22 April - Ten days after the earthquake in the Bovec-Kobarid region - the strongest Slovenia-centered earthquake after 1917 - National Civil Defence Headquarters decided the presence of its units was no longer needed and permanent rehabilitation may start as basic living conditions have been provided for all inhabitants of the affected region. Consequently, all Civil Defence management bodies and service have terminated their activities in the region on Wednesday, National Protection and Rescue Administration officials told a news conference that was also attended by Defence Minister Alojz Krapež.
