CORRECTION: Annual inflation jumps from 0% to 1.8% in November

The Statistics Office has corrected its calculation of the annual inflation rate for November from the 1.8% reported on 29 November to 1.7%. It said an an error in petrol price entries led to a miscalculation, having effected petrol indices and several related sub-indices, as well as everyday consumer goods. Below is the corrected version of the report.

Annual inflation jumps from 0% to 1.7% in November

Ljubljana, 2 December - Slovenia's annual inflation rate climbed from zero in October to 1.7% in November, while consumer prices increased 0.7% over October on average. Service prices went up by 2.8% and goods prices by 1.1%, the Statistics Office said, highlighting higher food and non-alcoholic beverages prices as the biggest contributor to annual inflation.
