Probe of water conservation zones shows some heavy metals contamination

Ljubljana, 10 December - Soil sampling carried out this autumn by the Slovenian Inspectorate for Agriculture, Forestry, Hunting, and Fisheries in some of the most protected water conservation zones revealed excessive levels of heavy metals in 11 out of 28 samples, including two from locations affected by last August's floods. No banned pesticides were detected.
