Slovenia steps up border checks due to developments in Syria

Ljubljana, 10 December - Slovenia will intensify checks of its borders with Croatia and Hungary as part of efforts against terrorism and illegal migrations, the Interior Ministry said on Tuesday, citing the latest developments in Syria. It remains unclear for now whether Slovenia, like many other EU countries, will suspend asylum requests by Syrians.
