TEŠ bailout bill passed

Ljubljana, 12 December - The National Assembly passed on Thursday an emergency bill that seeks to prevent the bankruptcy of Slovenia's sole remaining coal power plant in Šoštanj (TEŠ) and the country's only active coal mine in Velenje, its only source of coal, by providing transitional financing to the tune of EUR 403 million until 2027.
