President Kučan Visits Quake-Stricken Posočje

President Milan Kučan on Saturday visited the western region of Posočje to examine the consequences of the devastating Easter Sunday earthquake there. In Bovec, National and Regional Civil Defence headquarters officials, mayors and Civil Defence workers from Bovec, Kobarid and Tolmin municipalities briefed him with the damage and reconstruction efforts. In the morning President Kučan met with residents of Drežiške Ravne, the most affected village in the earthquake, and will visit the villages Kal, Koritnica and Lepena in the afternoon, Radio Slovenia reported.
