Jug became ZSO head in 2019 at only 21 years of age and was elected for another term in 2022. His current term would have ended in 2026.

However, he will remain a member of the ZSO expanded management board, according to Austrian public broadcaster ORF.

ZSO thanked him for his work and dedication, while Jug thanked them for their trust and long-standing cooperation.

At the beginning of August, Jug announced his full retirement from politics.

He said that politics was no longer a challenge for him because he could no longer contribute what he wanted to it. He also said his decision was motivated by some personal reasons.
