Plaque unveiled to honour Australian fighter pilot downed in 1945

Laško, 1 April - A monument was unveiled in the village of Kuretno near Laško on Tuesday to mark the site of a 1945 downing of a Royal Australian Air Force P-51 Mustang. The pilot Barnaby B. Davies ejected from the aircraft and was then helped by the locals in a gripping story worthy of a film adaptation.
