Delo: CEFTA - a Hot Waiting Room

Ljubljana, 2 July - Regardless of the temperature in Prague, where the CEFTA Joint Committee is in session, trade ministers of the CEFTA signatories are likely to be very hot before they have reached agreement on the most sensitive issues. With four out of six CEFTA member nations being in the first group of EU candidates, their interests differ, of course. Those four CEFTA members would like to join the 15-nation bloc as soon as possible, which Austria's newly-assumed presidency over the EU might speed up, Delo says on Thursday.
