EU Commissioner in Charge of Employment and Social Affairs to Visit Slovenia

EU Commissioner responsible for employment and social affairs Padraig Flynn will pay an official visit to Slovenia on Friday. Commissioner Flynn is scheduled to meet with Slovenia's Premier Janez Drnovsek, Minister of European Affairs Igor Bavcar, Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Anton Rop, Health Minister Marjan Jereb and Minister of Education and Sport Slavko Gaber. The EU official will hold talks also with members of the parliamentary committee for health, labour, family and social policy as well as with representatives of employers and trade unions. Talks between EU and Slovene officials will focuss on Slovenia's preparations for EU membership, chiefly in terms of employment and social policy.
