Delo: Can the State be Relied upon as Owner?

Ljubljana, 9 July - Delo agrees with the idea of the governor of the Bank of Slovenia, expressed earlier this week at a financial seminar: it is true a state is not necessarily automatically a bad bank owner. Seen from the bank's point of view, the Slovene state as the owner has pretty successfully realized the rehabilitation of Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB) and Nova Kreditna banka Maribor (NKBM), Slovenia's greatest commercial banks. The opposite is probably true as well: it is not necessary that a state is automatically a good owner, writes the Slovene daily.
