Police Well Prepared for Tourist Season

The effectiveness of the road safety act, introduced on 1 May, has been proved by statistical data, which thus deny the criticism directed against it in the media. Nevertheless, drivers should become still more conscious of the new road regulations, according to State Secretary in the Interior Ministry Borut Likar, who spoke at a news conference Tuesday. Likar added the Slovene police were well prepared to secure safety and to ease the flow of traffic in the tourist season.
