Review of Foreign Policy Events from July 18 to 24

Despite the holidays and the heat foreign policy activities have not yet given way to summer still. Late in the week Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek was on an official visit in Rumania, National Assembly Speaker Janez Podobnik visited the Austrian federal state of Salzburg and Foreign Minister Boris Frlec is leaving on a Latin American tour. Also in the highlight were relations with neighbouring Croatia; after a long time the mixed diplomatic border commission convened in a session, and relations with Zagreb were also the central subject of talks in the parliamentary party coordination body.
