Slovenia's Trade Rose in First Nine Months of 1998

Ljubljana, 6 November - In the first nine months of 1998, Slovenia's exports amounted to US$ 6.58 billion, while imports totalled US$ 7.31 billion, National Office of Statistics reported Friday. In the January-to-September period, Slovenia recorded a US$ 732.91 million deficit and a 90 per cent export-import coverage. Compared to the same 1997 period, imports in dollars grew up by 7.3 per cent, while exports increased by 5.5 per cent.
