Preseren Days International Symposium in Kranj

Kranj, 2 February - PRESEREN/SYMPOSIUM/150 YEARS
International symposium "The Preseren Days", marking the 150th anniversary of the death of Slovenia's greatest poet and author of the national anthem France Preseren, started Tuesday in Kranj about 30 kilometers northwest of Ljubljana. The symposium is attended by about 40 lecturers, prominent Preseren scholars from Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Germany, the United States, Canada, Russia, Poland and the Czech Republic. The opening address was given by President Milan Kucan.
