Franci Demsar Becomes New Defence Minister

Ljubljana, 4 February - In a secret vote the National Assembly elected Thursday Franci Demsar as new defence minister. Demsar is a Slovene People's Party member. While 49 lawmakers voted for him, 27 were against his becoming defence minister. Out of a total of 78 votes cast, two ballots were invalid.
