Holmec Case: No Criminal Act

Ljubljana, 6 February - HOLMEC/PROSECUTION
Based on the Home Ministry inquiry carried out end last year following media reports about Slovene security forces having shot at Yugoslav soldiers attempting to give in at the Holmec border crossing point during the 1999 independence war, the state prosecution established that neither the Slovene police officers nor the military had committed any punishable crime. Based on this finding the state prosecution filed the case, Barbara Brezigar, head of a group of special assignments state prosecutors, said Saturday.
