The Global Mariner Joins the Fight for Sailor's Rights

Portorož, 1 January - SHIPPING/SYNDICATE/SAILORS/ITF
The International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) ship, the Global Mariner, which has visited 80 major ports around the world in the last 18 months, will reach Koper Port on Sunday 2 January. The crew of ITF is on its way to present a campaign against flag benefits and against exploitation in the shipping industry. The organiser of the Koper visit, which is to mark the end of end of the Global Mariner's journey, is the Slovene sailors syndicate and Slovene ITF Inspector, Branko Krznaric. The ITF prepared a presentation in the storage spaces of the ship's hull, which will be available for a visit between 3 and 6 January.
