Global Mariner Lands at Koper

The port of Koper is the 77th port at which the Global Mariner with the crew of the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) stopped on Monday on its 18-month sail around the world. On the journey from port to port across the world the crew has been warning of the system of modern slavery in the shipping industry with a campaign against ships sailing under the flag of benefits, exploitation of mariners and substandards on ships, the Global Mariner's captain, David Enever, explained.
