Record Trading in December

The Ljubljana Stock Exchange witnessed SIT 44.3 billion (euro 224.5 million) worth of trading in December 1999, which is a record month in the bourse's ten year history. The December stock trading is 107 percent higher than November's and 23.4 percent higher than December 1998. The cumulative annual trade for 1999 at the stock exchange amounted to SIT 265.7 billion (euro 1.35 billion) and exceeds 1998 trading by 53 percent.
