Annan Offers Tuerk the Position of Secretary General Assistant

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan offered Slovene Ambassador to the UN Danilo Tuerk the position of the assistant of the secretary general for political issues in Europe, Asia and the Pacific. Tuerk will assume the office in February, the Slovene Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday.
