58th Anniversary of the Drazgose Battle

Ljubljana, 9 January - DRAZGOSE/BATTLE/ANNIVERSARY
The main commemorative ceremony for the 58th anniversary of the Drazgose battle took place in Drazgose on Sunday. The preparations for the ceremony, named "By the Partisan Paths from Jelovica to Drazgose 2000", began last September, while the actual ceremonies have been taking place since December. The commemoration is one of the oldest mass gatherings that remembers events from the national liberation battle (NOB), and has so far this year attracted 130,000 people.
        The speaker of honour at the main ceremony was member of the committee of the second world war Slovene veterans' association (ZZB), Janez Stanovnik.
